A morning routine to improve your mood
And brighten your whole day
There’s nothing better than Ayurvedic morning routine to start the day off right. After all, we know that how we begin our day impacts how we feel all day long. Try these tips to boost your mood and energy:
Rise with the sun for a fresh start to your day. In Ayurveda, the early morning hours are known as "Brahma Muhurta," or the time of the gods. This sacred window of time, before sunrise, is considered ideal for spiritual practices and setting intentions for the day ahead. Even if you don’t plan on meditating first thing, waking up with the sun, awakens your senses and balances your circadian rhythm.
As you awaken, allow yourself to surface gently. Take a few deep breaths and whisper thanks for a new day. Take a moment to mentally plan a positive day ahead, setting your intentions. Intentions are like seeds we plant in the fertile soil of our consciousness. Setting an intention is a conscious act of directing our energy and focus toward a desired goal or outcome.
Before your shower or bath, enjoy a self-massage with warm oil to relax and rejuvenate your body. When our body feels loved, our mind feels calm.
Choose foods that are nutritious, and easy to digest to fuel your day. Breakfast is a crucial aspect of maintaining balance and promoting overall well-being. In essence, breakfast in Ayurveda is not just about filling the stomach; it's about nourishing the body, soothing the mind, and supporting overall health and vitality.
By honouring each new morning, we lay a foundation for a day filled with energy, clarity, and well-being.
